Ask people if tea is better or coffee and you can be blamed for starting a war. With tea lovers defending it passionately as the coffee people debate fiercely the war can rage for hours. While we can’t ask you to start liking tea…we can just settle the fight for you and prove why tea is better!
Though the reasons to scientifically prove this are still a little foggy, tea has proved to be the most efficient, frequently turned to stress buster globally. Many tea enthusiasts claim that even the aroma of freshly brewed tea helps them unwind and relax after a hard, tiring day.
While coffee helps charge you up and increase your heart rate and turn you into a ready-to-take-on-the-world maniac, tea calms your nerves down and soothes you. Keeping it short, it makes you as cool as a cucumber!
Takes care of your pretty smile
When your brain ain’t feeling like a wrung sponge and you aren’t cumbered with the weight of the sky falling down, chances are that you would want to walk with a skip and smile a little more oft. You don’t want to flash a yellow bulb and lower other peoples’ happiness do you? Tea helps you with that too! It helps fight plaque and keeps your teeth shining! So go on, take a sip and flash a smile. (Psst. Stay away from coffee, it’ll just dim your shine! Coffee discolours teeth!)
Strengthens your Defence Mechanisms
No. Tea isn’t just into the superficial outer glories. It goes much deeper than that. It arms your white soldiers so they are better equipped to fight with foreign invasions. Studies have showed that people who drink tea regularly are less likely to develop cancer and also have stronger bones (that means you are better equipped to give unwanted intruders a whack or two, yourself too). In your face, coffee!
It is versatile!
Well there is Chamomile, Lavender, Peppermint, Chilli, Masala, Oolong, Green, Black, Assam, Darjeeling, Earl Grey, with milk , without milk – just to name a few. You get to choose your brew everyday…or stick to your favourite. If this isn’t called being pampered for choice, then what is? What do you have coffee? Huh!
It is the easier option..
There There. We know you are on the run each waking moment and can do with things making your life easier. Isn’t tea the better option then? Pour. Steep. Relish. The three golden rules of happiness!
So go on, get your feet up on the table for a while and relax. Life isn’t that bad, we still have tea.
Helps you shed a few pounds
It lets you be a little lazy AND helps you lose weight. Sounds too good to be true? Drinking green tea regularly for a month can reduce your waistline up to an inch! It can help undo what all those years of coffee with extra cream has done to you. Club this with your work out and be the size zero you always dreamed of being!
Keeps you going for longer
While tea and coffee have the same amount of caffeine and they both are stimulants and helps wake your brain up. Coffee’s effect kicks in quicker and diffuses just as fast. Coffee also tends to lower your energy levels giving you the “coffee crash”. Tea is undisputedly the better choice if you want to be up and about all round the clock!
All you fence sitters, we hope you have decided which side you are on now. It does not really make a difference actually. Tea is awesome, we just proved it. It isn’t the second most consumed beverage in the world for nothing, right?
